2-Day Itinerary
This itinerary is designed to start from Jinka, the capital of the zone.
Day 1: Jinka to the foot of Gorgocha Mountain and cultural tour
- Morning (02:00 – 03:30): Depart Jinka and travel towards Gorgocha Mountain.
- Afternoon (04:00 – 06:00): Visit the Ari villages at the foot of the mountain. Here you can see the pottery art of the Ari women and the famous Ari liquor production process.
- Afternoon (07:00 – 10:00): Start hiking on the lush trails at the foot of the mountain. Visit coffee and spice plantations along the way.
- Evening: Overnight in a nearby village or back to Jinka.
Day 2: Climbing the mountain and seeing the peak
- Morning (12:00 – 03:00): Start the trek to the top of Gorgocha mountain. Waking up early helps to watch the sunrise from the top of the mountain and observe the birds.
- Early morning (03:30 – 05:30): Reach the top of the mountain. From the top of the mountain, admire the vast lush land of Ari, the view of the valleys and the silence of nature.
- Afternoon (06:00 – 08:30): Descend the mountain. On the way, see traditional beehives hanging from the trees of the mountain.
- Evening: Return to Jinka town.
