Mago National Park
Mago National Park is one of the oldest and most important national parks in Ethiopia, serving as a major gateway to tourist attractions in the South Omo Zone and the Ari Zone.

3-day Itinerary
This plan is chosen for its time-saving nature and inclusion of all destinations.
Day 1: Addis Ababa to Jinka
- Morning: Fly from Addis Ababa to Jinka (approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes). If you travel by bus, it may take 2 days.
- Afternoon: Upon arrival in Jinka, check in to a hotel. Then visit the South Omo Museum and Research Center in Jinka. This will give you a first-hand understanding of the culture of the local people.
- Evening: Overnight in Jinka.
Day 2: To Mago National Park and Mursi Village
- Morning (11:30 AM): Drive to Mago National Park. Early departure will help you see the animals and observe the morning routine of the Mursi.
- Morning: Game Drive in the park. Then visit the Mursi village. See their lip plate and their unique lifestyle.
- Afternoon: Return to Jinka and visit the Ari ethnic villages on the way. Here you can see pottery, alcohol production and farming.
- Evening: Overnight in Jinka.
Day 3: Traditional market and return
- Morning: Depending on the day (if it is Saturday or Tuesday) Visit the large traditional market of Jinka. It is a vibrant place where different ethnic groups gather to sell their products.
- Morning: Time for shopping.
- Afternoon: Return to Addis Ababa.
