The Shola Kasha festival is a profound spiritual and social thanksgiving ceremony held annually by the Basket people in the Tosta Forest. It is a landmark event where the community gathers to offer thanks to the Creator following a successful harvest and to reaffirm the unity of the community.

In accordance with the hierarchy and age, the elders taste it first, followed by the rest of the community for communal eating and drinking.
